I wasn't lured here by the title. I was lured by seeing that EmperorWhenua replied. He didn't barf sing out much wisdom, however, so I'm disappointed.

Anyways, I would have to say that I agree with you. Although the point of the blog entry was a little hard to decipher with all of that humor, I figure that you were talking about when somebody says something like "this is a terrible MOC" in order to attract viewers, and of course to make it sound like you could do much better. It reminds me of that "I can't draw!" topic.

Of course, I presume that this was you were talking about. I could be wrong.

It reminds me of that "I can't draw!" topic.

UGH. That's like those chicks that are pretty good looking, but are all like, "I'm not pretty".

And it's not even low self-esteem, it's just a flat-out, cheap grab for attention.

Well, it's also more than that, controversy brings traffic. "Cheer me up" brings traffic. "I'm unhappy" brings traffic. It's a grab for attention, which usually needs to be directed towards someone who actually needs it.

I wanna see someone talk about how things are going great for him/her.
