The Super Suit Is Some Serious Buisness, Man.

Hey'all. Just poking in to ramble on about my dillemas of my geeky life. Today, I come to you all about not mechs, not aliens, not any weird anime character that everyone is madly in love with, but I come today about super suits. Yes, supersuits!

 

You got the Spartan armor from Halo *although I personally dislike Halo and hardly consider Chief's suit that super when in comparison to others, but it counts so oh well*, the Nanosuit from Crysis *the most super duper of the bunch*, Isaac's Tier 3 Engineer suit *level 3 suit seems to be his iconic one* from Dead Space, that really cool Paladin armor from Hellgate:London, I guess the iconic Space Marine armor counts too, right? Maybe, actually. I dunno. OH AND IRON MAN, I guess I didn't think of him because he's technically a super hero.

 

Point is, I luff the supersuit type stuff.

 

And here I am trying to design one. It's proven pretty difficult to top something that could visually defeat eye candy like the awesome capabilities of the muscular Nanosuit, Isaac's bile-stained Tier 3 suit or Chief's sci-fi'y *although lacking anything genuniely super about it* suit.

 

The closest I've gotten to a supersuit even in design is Headhunter's stalker suit *Headhunter is a rather maccabre comic character of mine- think Predator meets Robot Chicken* the D.R.E.A.M suit from An Abyssal Mind *which I have yet to build up on* and the CBTU Suit that looked like some sort of uber Combine from HL2.

 

It's tricky buisness!

What about Samus's Varia Suit? It's likely the most modular, upgradeable, flexible, and resilient suit in any work of science fiction. Plus, I find that it's Metroid Prime 2 and 3 renditions are probably the best in terms of aesthetics. Seriously, If you were to put Samus against Master Chief, Gordon Freeman, AND the guy from Crysis(forgot his name), Samus would win hands down, ESPECIALLY with all her upgrades acquired. Not to mention how she has a weapon with infinite ammunition that would cut through "'Chief's" shields and health in seven shots...

 

Oh, and about "designing" one- I recall drawing one that was slightly inspired by the marines in Metroid Prime. Figured by reading this entry it'd interest you. Just a shameless plug.

Level 3 is bleh, at least bleh-looking.

 

What do you mean? The level 3 suit is the one you see him in all the time on ads and whatnot. So I guess I just consider that his iconic suit.

Make a super suit that looks like a bunch of trash from trashcans meshed together. It would actually look pretty cool!
