Well, it was called "Battle of the Planets" when I saw it. They deleted (some?) violent scenes and replaced them with this whole weird arc of a robot with his robot dog commenting on what was going on. And of course, he was teaching lessons too. (Ugh).

It aired in Italy that way too, but later on a Canadian company translated it into "G-Force", which aired on Cartoon Network. The job they did was a 50-car pileup, as most translated japanese stuff (Ultra Seven ...urgh) from Canada is.

So yeah, this is first time I'm seeing "Science Ninja Team Gatchaman" as they actually aired, complete with main characters dying and stuff.

Majaba (Mahaba?) Yeah, I still have him upstairs in one of my toy bins... pretty sure I threw the rest out. Never kill a mantis, be it real or toy.

That SNES game was harsh though... I mean, here you are going to the arcade to play this (NEW!) game called "Street Fighter 2"... and then you're supposed to be able to take Ultraman seriously?

BAH.

... ... ...think I still have the human action figures from that toy line, as well as their hovercraft, net-launching vehicle...
