I like it, it's a carbon copy of the windows media center layout, which I like.

The avatars I don't care much for, but they are much better than the mii's.

I LOVE the NXE. It is much more clean and organized than the old dashboard was. Besides, if you liked blades, there is still the guide which is basically a micro version of the old blade system.

And about Avatars, I don't know why people hate them so much. I was indifferent at first, didn't really care, but now I think they're pretty cool. I like how they work in your friends list and it brings a little more personality to your profile instead of just a standard gamerpic.

I'm not a tween so...

I do know what you are saying about those random social network site pages, it's why I don't use the one I believe you are referring to. However, avatars are nothing like that. The avatars are a digital representation of you on Xbox Live. Yes, it doesn't do much, but does your avatar on BZP do anything? It's all about being able to through a digital medium, and I think avatars accomplish this well. Xbox Live has always been about the social experience so I don't think there is anything wrong with adding another little layer to it.
