And Then There Was One...
...week to Book 4 of my series. Yes, we are drawing near the end of the two-month break between books, which I've tried to make as interesting as possible for my readers. In the past two months, I've written 10 chapters. Assuming I can keep up this rate through the entire story, I should be done writing by early March, while the book will finish being posted by mid-April. There should be none of the delays between chapters or the scramble to write a chapter from scratch the day or day before it's supposed to be posted that became characteristic of Book 3, which made the ending of it nightmarish, for me at least. So that's a big load off my back.
Here's the schedule of Book 4, if all goes according to plan:
Prologue: Monday, December 29th
Chapter 1: Friday, January 2nd
Chapter 2: Monday, January 5th
Chapter 3: Friday, January 9th
Chapter 4: Monday, January 12th
Chapter 5: Friday, January 16th
Chapter 6: Monday, January 19th
Chapter 7: Friday, January 23rd
Chapter 8: Monday, January 26th
Chapter 9: Wednesday, January 28th (posted on a Wednesday because Chapters 8-10 are three parts of a whole, and as such would do well to go all together in one week)
Chapter 10: Friday, January 30th
Chapter 11: Friday, February 6th (a week-long break after the conclusion of Part 1 seems appropriate to me)
Chapter 12: Monday, February 9th
Chapter 13: Friday, February 13th (Just happened that the 13th chapter fell on a Friday the 13th... 0_o)
Chapter 14: Monday, February 16th
Chapter 15: Friday, February 20th
Chapter 16: Monday, February 23rd
Chapter 17: Friday, February 27th
Chapter 18: Monday, March 2nd
Chapter 19: Friday, March 6th
Chapter 20: Monday, March 9th
Chapter 21: Friday, March 13th (Second chapter to fall on a Friday the 13th, and also the first "Chapter 21" in the series)
Chapter 22: Monday, March 16th
Chapter 23: Friday, March 20th
Chapter 24: Monday, March 23rd
Chapter 25: Friday, March 27th
Chapter 26: Monday, March 30th
Chapter 27: Wednesday, April 1st (Chapter 26-28 are another 3-part story, according to my vague plans, and also I wanted to post a chapter on April Fool's Day XD)
Chapter 28: Friday, April 3th
Chapter 29: Monday, April 6th
Chapter 30: Friday, April 10th
Epilogue: Saturday, April 11th (I always like to put Epilogues very close to the last chapter)
So in total the posting will take 18 days short of 4 months. By June or July I'll start posting Book 5. I'll work out exact dates come April
Aside from that, there isn't much in the way of Book 4 news.
Writing Tip of the Week
I actually don't have a writing tip this week, because I couldn't think of one. :annoyed2: But you can have links to all the writing tips I've given in the identically-named topic in the Epics forum, Writing Tips.
*Tip #1: Use a Word Processor; Tip #2: Make Everything Happen For A Reason; Tip #3: Review Etiquette These tips are a year old, before Book 2 had even started to be posted, but they still apply.
*Tip #4: A Word On Death This is much like the tip I did in this blog recently, but it might have something interesting for you. It was posted in late 2007 as well.
*Tip #5: More Review Etiquette Posted in early 2008, this tip was in reply to someone concerned they weren't getting enough reviews. Maybe you can get something out of it too.
*Tip #6: Learn to Type Correctly Another tip from early 2008. This is my theory on why the average fan fiction chapter seems to be very short, and the solution to that problem.
*Tip #7: Do Not Narrate A tip from mid-2008, this is a very important one that I urge you to read.
*Tip #8: The Chord Patterns of Writing...If You Do It Right This tip is from last month, and I think you'll find it fairly interesting.
Hopefully I'll have an actual writing tip next week, but if I don't, I'll probably go through the writing tips for extremely good tips from other people. Also, if you have an hour (=P) read The Arena Method of Writing by bonesiii. It's great. And it's also the way I've been writing for years, so if you're a fan of me and want to write the way I do, this is a must-read.
