I Downloaded Gimp

I downloaded GIMP, since people told me it's better than MS Paint, which I swear by.

Now what?

I rarely use MS Paint... I use some version of Jasc Paint Shop Pro, some program we've had since 04. It might not be as fancy as some of the newer ones today, but it kicks MS Paint out of the park.

On the other hand, it wasn't free, so there you go...

He's just being random.

But I do think that if I learn GIMP it might help me in my Journalism career later. Graphics and whatnot.

NO U.

Anyway CF, GIMP will definitely help.

Like I said, it's free Photoshop. =D

Master GIMP, Master Photoshop.

And Vice-versa.

Now only if there was free Flash...

Free flash would be so-o awesome.

But I feel like a loser paying for a program...

I don't know why, but I just NEVER use photoshop or even jasc art programs.

I ONLY use:

--MS Paint (it's just so QUICK)

--jasc animationshop (strictly for quick, basic functions of gif making)

--Alam DV2 (some really broken-feeling program, but lighting and lightsaber effects are quick and easy to use... though I end up needing to print screen and drop into paint, as I said... the program feels "broken").

I think I'll try this GIMP out that everyone's gossiping about all across the net.

I imagine it's system resources usage is probably lower than using full-blown photoshop.

By quite a lot, yeah. I prefer Paint.NET, though, as GIMP's UI is confusing as feth.

PDN's basically MSPaint on steroids, and thus easy to use.

The GIMP's pretty swell, once you get used to it. I mean, it works. A lot. Usually. And it does everything that most sane people would want to do with a pretty good graphic program.

Oh, yeah, I've heard of PDN. And I do like MS Paint.

Thanks for the other help, guys!

Make some GIFs.

NAOW

Actually, I already have a GIF animator. (Which may or may not be on my flash drive now that I think about it so I better grab it from my dysfunctional upstairs computer before we get rid of it.) Works quite nicely with paint.

See?
