I dunno, I'm good with the consistency. Nothing I hate more than flipping through channels, especially when there's nothing on.

I'm trying to get my parents to switch to online television. Free, and we can watch exactly what we want.

You better not be telling me to switch to Dish.

I get local channels only; and that's only like...3 channels.

I get PBS, ABC and NBC.

NBC is all ET, news or Insider. Only good thing I watch on it is The Tonight Show.

ABC is drama, news or sports.

PBS is getting so fulla cruddy stuff that I can't watch it for very long.

Bottom line, I hate my rabbit ears and basic TV. That god it will end soon and we'll at least get some sort of digital soon.

I got my TV for NBC... to watch Chuck and Heroes on Mondays. Since NBC doesn't come in very well in Seattle ( ) I've ended up watching Comedy Central and Cartoon Network more often. Most of it's trash anyway, so I turn it off (although Jon Stewart and Colbert are okay)

Jeff Dunham rocks.

But not all the freaking time with the same skit all the time on that channel!

There is no good reason to bother with television. Just rent a bunch of DVDs of decent shows and watch what you want, when you want to, in order, without commercials, and probably with bonus features, if it's any good. Since all of the good shows were canceled years ago. Seriously.

But yeah, I get like, two and a half channels channels. The Crazy Televangelist channel and the Grainy Poor Reception Dr. Phil With The Radio Or Something In The Background Fading In And Out And Blending With The Program Channel, which counts as one and a half.

This is because I've an old television and never bothered to get like, an antenna nor a converter box to get digital television or whatever it is THE LAW requires these days.

I used to when it was on Fox.

FX is even worse at times.

They play the exact same movie over and over again.

Or 3 movies with the same actor for an entire week.

USA: NCIS. And House is awesome. It's just after watching it so much that it gets old, so yeah...

CC: Jeff and Blue Collar are pretty funny. It's just when they're played OVER AND OVER that it gets annoying.

CN: Yeah, it does pretty much suck now.

Nick: "Played over and over blah blah blah."

MTV/VH1: I don't watch them because the shows on them... Yeah. WHO CARES?? I don't wanna watch a show about some stuck up rich girl and her birthday.

So it seems to me that the problem is that networks find something people like, then just show them over and over and over and over and over and over... Variety is what they desperately need.
