Had an old CD, thought I'd play with it. There's a video on it.

 

Anyway, I covered it in fingerprints, ran it along a carpet, and played frizbee with it. It still worked. :)

 

Maybe CDs are a lot tougher than we think they are?

That doesn't surprise me at all, since the video is only on a tiny portion of the CD, and it would take a large amount of damage to corrupt the entire disc.

If that still works, I can't imagine what CDs from libraries that don't work have gone through ._.

 

Or what Tronec said. Maybe test this on an old game you don't play anymore. :P
