1) Get songs from various sites on web or my uncle

2) Open in iTunes

3) Plug in iPod

4) Sync

5) ???

6) Profit

... =D

For the life of me, I just do NOT understand why one wouldn't just buy a cheapie mp3 player and ditch any thinking beyond that.

I want to listen to music, not be a guinea pig of market analysis for some nerd at Apple.

That's what I did. Only problem is that the earbuds stopped working after about a week.

I've had my iPod Video for, let me see... going on three years now? Not one purchase from iTunes Store. Nada. It just feels so dirty and capitalist.

... Said the man who still buys CDs from the brick-and-mortar store.

I can't comment on the iStalker deal, 'cuz I configured/registered/whatevered my piece of Apple sweetness so long ago, I can't remember what was asked in the interview.
