What's New And How You Can Help Find Out

In this first edition of This Week in Bionicle, we hope to show you what to expect in this series of The Revolution, how you can help, and of course what’s going on this week… in Bionicle. Read on for more…

Now, when I said this week, I guess I was altering the terminology slightly… it’s not exactly just this week, just whatever’s gone on recently that we’d like to bring to your attention for discussion and… um, usage… or something.

Anyway, first up is the brand new 2009 bionicle.com. The dark, swampy kind of feel we’ve been seeing for the last half of 08, and in fact the kind of shadowy, epic, Karda-Nui kind of thing that’s been the main focus of the site since we entered the world that feeds the world last January is totally gone, replaced by a sweeping desert landscape complete with underground caves, icy caverns, jungles, and fiery volcanoes that to those of us who’ve been here from the beginning look very familiar, and very welcoming after five years away from that paradise island where it all began and is now nothing more than an evil robot’s face.

Needless to say, I really like the new site, and not just for the nostalgia value. The new animations are really cool, and they really show off the sets and exactly what they can do. The story section, though I’m sure it’ll get old far too quickly for those who seek new and constant storyline updates and prowl the OGD searching for information, is also great, giving us some great new info on Bara Magna, the villages, and just about everything Glatorian.

Next up is the set availability update. A recent news story reports that Glatorian have hit the land down under, so Australian fans, get ready for a trip to the stores (Don’t worry about being even this little bit behind; I still haven’t gotten any of the new guys yet either :P).

I won’t go into great detail on the new storyline tidbits we’ve picked up recently, or my recent musings on the new plastic desert warriors, partly because I’m just too lazy to write any more right now, partly because I think that this entry is getting kind of long, and partly because I want to save something for the next entry in this series without having to go scanning the front page again for news articles to quote.

Which brings me to another point: if you spot something bionicle-related on bzpower, on the web, or even in real life, whether it be a little-known story tidbit, a rare set sighting, or any other piece of interesting bionicle-related news, drop me a PM and let me know. I'll cite you as my source when I post the info in this series, and you might have a chance to join a possible blog club in the works.

So, if you’ve actually read all that, thanks for reading, and why not drop off a comment to let me know what you think; if you just skipped down here and read the end, drop a comment off anyway; the Revolution needs your support.

And that’s this week… in Bionicle.

Lol, this is cool it's kinda like B6's blog enties but more in depth, I like the reviews and the commentary you gave to all the news. I can't wait for more!

Oh, okay.

I thought this was to explain what the Revolution is.

Yeah! I got it! Let's assassinate Hapori Tohu and take over BZP, and turn it into LZP! (Lhikevikk Zone Power! I sure can dream. ._.)

Or we can bring back Hapori Dume and be his staff.
