Doesn't that look so much nicer? It's gonna take ages, but...

 

I'm pretty proud of the hands. I'm not very good at hands but I think they came out nicely.

 

As you can probably tell, I gave up on trying to draw the long, smooth blade of the sword with the brush tool, so I did it with the pen tool instead. Might have to do that for her cloak and hair, too.

 

Speaking of which, I might redo parts of her hair to make it look better... man I wish I could draw like Noizi Ito, she's amazing.

 

EDIT: Which version of the hair?

 

Oh yeah, might I direct your attention to chapter 7 of 52-pickup?

Hmm... I wasn't sure about curling the ends of the strands, but I didn't like the lack of detail in the old version... I was sort of trying to imitate Noizi Ito's (awesome) style in the official artwork for the series... hence, complicated hair.

 

I can see where you're coming from though and I tried fixing one of the locks that was bothering me.

 

Comparison of the now three different versions.

 

I'll save the other two layers but I plan on finishing up on this one... unless somebody points out something else to fix.
