Growing Up On Bara Magna

I need better armor if I'm going to fight in the Arena someday.

(Making this a new series was understandable, but i still can't understand why Voya Nui needed it too....)

That said, GregF also noted that, while the MU Bionicle are about 15% organic and 85% bionic, it is the reverse for the Bara Magna characters, being mostly organic and the rest is armor and implants, I assume like Ed Elric's automail or like Seven of Nine from Star Trek. Or maybe Will Smith in I, Robot.

Since they are mostly organic, and Berix wants to one day fight in the Arena, I'm interpreting this a few ways:

1) He (not she *sigh*) just wants to be strong and fight.

or, what I first though of:

2) They actually grow up, since they are mostly organic. Perhaps all the Glatorian were at one point a lot like the Agori. Glatorian is just a title, right? And they all have very strong ties to their individual villages, where as Toa just keep to theirs because it's their custom. (OK, maybe not the best point, but I'm trying to figure something out here.)

Although we don't know how Agori/Glatorian are made. We didn't know Toa were once Matoran until 2004, growing using a powerful stone. We know very little this far into the story.

No, Glatorian is a species, as is Agori. And I think they reproduce biologically.

Yeah. Glatorian are a different species from the Agori, but Glatorian is a title.

I was thinking Borg in general.

Glatorian are separate creatures from Agori.

Probably the first is true.

I have an answer at least to why Voya Nui needed to be a new series. Notice that there's been a new series every time the artist changes? My guess is LEGO plans to keep that up, too, if the artist changes again.

But the artist (sadly) changed in 2004 as well, and they kept the series 1 number...

And it didn't become series 3 in 2008 with that change artists either.
