Certamenators!

Yes that is what we Latin nerds call ourselves. :P

We placed second in Certamen regionals, upper level competition, which means we won't be advancing to states... ah well. We tried.

I'd forgotten so much history and mythology... and even translating into Latin, I blanked out on a rather easy question... but my comprehension was on the spot and I managed to get several translations immediately. It's kind of funny how some skills are transferable... although of course it's hard to isolate variables, since we've also been doing a lot more translating this year in class, but fast, on-the-spot, by ear comprehension... the ability to instantly fix on keywords and jump to the most logical relationship between the words that's in line with the other parts of the sentence that were understood... a lot of that I think comes from watching raw anime. XD Languages are fascinating... and really, learning is IMO less about information and more about a way of thinking, especially in this day and age. Information is readily available nowadays. It's how you process it... that's what counts.

Anyway B6 was kind enough to change the double post prevention setting so I should be able to get caught up with 52-pickup by the end of today. Woot and whatnots.
