Check It Out... In The Library!

Donde' esta la biblioteca?

:annoyed2:

Anyway, I was doing some web research for one of my classes, and I saw that a majority of the content from one page came from a book. I logged online and checked the University's Library database and typed in the title, and saw that the library did indeed have the book in stock. (First, let me say how cool it is that I actually need a book from the library for one of my classes, Archaeology, to be precise. Math, physics, chemistry, even computer programming never require any "research" for the classes I've taken. Archaeology is a fresh start [and yes, I am kind of in the middle of changing my major...]).

Anyway, our main library is pretty big. But I wrote out the number from the computer and went hunting, scanning the rows and rows of shelves for the right combination of numbers and letters. Finally, I found it. (Actually, them; there were two copies of the book when the computer had said there was only one. SCORE!). I couldn't check it out, however, since the circulation desk had closed about an hour earlier. In fact, the whole library was shut down and locked up.

:lookaround:

Haha, one of the perks (if you so choose to call it that) of working in the library is that you can continue working on Fridays even after they've closed the doors to the rest of the public. (It's a 24 hour library during the weekdays, so I only get this on Friday). So pretty much I had the entire enormous Library to myself, as all my fellow employees had left work early that day (because it was nice out. I had to miss out on the sun because I needed the hours). If I could find a way to sneak some other people in, we could have a killer game of hide and seek.

I don't know why I take pleasure in this, because I'll just have to relocate the book again during normal operating hours, but I have few of them as of late. I'll take what I can get.

On the plus side, I got my homework done, only two days late. :annoyed2:

ARCHAEOLOGIST PRIDE! *fist pump*

Ah, research projects are such a joy forever. I love screwing around the library, but I'm so bad at research projects. Then again, I'm sort of bad at everything. :D
