Amazon isn't an option, as I need my mother for that, and after she rented another Miyazaki when I was nine(I think it's US title was "Spirited Away"), she's xenophobic when it comes to Anime.

Because she's weird and/or stupid, depending on your perspective. She seems to think most things are their stereotypes and that two completely unrelated things are related. Also she believes videogames are to blame for pretty much every post-1985 disaster caused by humans. I just assumed her stereotyping assumptions fit xenophobic well enough to use it.

Well, I feel sorry for you and your mother. Miyazaki is anime that even a non-anime fan should watch.

(You were nine when you saw Spirited Away? A little young? Anyway, read Howl's Moving Castle, then tell her it's been made into a movie, and then grab the Miyazaki film, and then show her how good it is!!! (Or just grab the movie and then show her it.))

Anyway, I'm assuming you're talking about Princess Mononoke, and I'm wondering where the Hime comes from. If it means princess, then that explains a lot of things in other anime I've heard of...interesting nonetheless.
