The Cosmos Rocks

Dr. Dremora von DOOM

Hey all, it's me again, and as a hardcore Queen fan, I decided to give a little mini-review their latest album, The Cosmos Rocks, which I recently purchased from the Local Wal*Mart, so first off, here's a picture of the album, again this is Queen + Paul Rogers's New album, The Cosmos Rocks

its not the best album cover, but its alright, it shows Brian, Roger and Paul, regretfully, Jamie Moses, Danny Miranda, and Spike Edney, the touring Rythm guitarist, Bassist, and Keyboardists didn't really preform on it, they did in the tour though.

Now I guess we'll move on to the actual music, let me first say this though, its not the Queen you guys know, but the music is still good, its a mix of Bad Company/Free ish bluesy rock, but with the traditional Queen guitars and driving beats, and Nifty little Paul Rogers on Vocals, and I have to say, at first I was a might bit hesitant about buying this thing, but I eventually came to grips with this fact its not Queen as we know them, its a new thing.

there are some quite memorable songs in there, like the anthemic "We Believe" or the nostalgic "Small" which is somewhat reminiscent of "The Miracle" not to mention their petition song supporting the battle against HIV, which is called "Say it's not True" which features drummer Roger Taylor and guitarist Brian May sharing vocals(!!) with Paul Rogers. and of course their Roger-Penned hard rock anthem "C-Lebrity" about prospects of fame,

all in all, I approve heartily.

anyhoo, if you don't quite comprehend Queen without Freddie, the you might not like this, but if you have come to grips with the fact that there will not be another "Made in Heaven"- style album with old Freddie demo clips added to new music, then this is the album for you, of course, it you just like pure old fashioned rock n roll, than I could suggest it to you as well,

that's all for now,
