Student Court Sucks

So the hearing I mentioned in the previous entry was this afternoon. My God was that tense; I have never been so nervous in my life. I am so thankful my friend Katalin was allowed in the room with me -- just her being there helped a lot. Anyway, I was apparently accused of plagiarism on a paper analyzing a short story that I wrote like a month and a half ago. They said I got stuff from Wikipedia. First problem: WIKIPEDIA. Why on earth would I ever go there for any sort of information for any schoolwork? Everyone knows that it's a terrible site for that stuff, especially college students like me.

Regardless, they asked questions and I made my defense (I had more than just that one point, don't worry). Unfortunately, they still found me responsible and the sanction is to take an "F" for the class. In all honesty, while not getting cleared of all charges like I had hoped, this is far, far better than what could have happened. I'm still going for an appeal, but if that doesn't work I'm willing to accept this, as I can easily retake the class next spring semester. Now please, if anyone comments on this entry, don't bother trying to convince me to do all I can to change this. I'm already pretty much doing that, but I'm not going to flip out or anything. I don't hate my professor or anything; she actually complimented my writing skills during the hearing, LOL. The class is still entertaining and stuff. I'm just so glad that this is all pretty much done and over with.

If there's one thing you take from this entry, it's this: keep your friends close. I can't tell you how scared I was that I might've been kicked out of this school. And I realized that I was not scared because I'd lose a lot of money or deal with my parents. I was scared because I really, REALLY did not want to lose my friends, especially all they've done for me over this past week for this situation. Three of these friends showed up just to sit outside for an hour so I had someone to talk to or whatever after the hearing. There is no way I could possible thank them enough just for doing that. I can honestly say that not once in high school I could have expected this from anyone other than one person. Hence why I really didn't want to lose these friends here at college. Like I said, I'm just thrilled that this is over with and I won't be thrown out. :)

And on that note, I'm totally digging Mata Nui's new movie form! I am thoroughly impressed by the animation quality I've seen between those new pictures and the Antroz test animation. Can't wait for it to come out!

Aw...I'm really sorry for all that. But yeah, I guess that is better than being kicked out of school, that would be terrible. I'm really glad you got some good friends there, that's a very good thing to have in times like that. :)

Oh I know! I was a bit iffy and missing the original movie style...but it really does look awesome, Antroz looks amazing!
