Scary Weekend

M'kay, due to massive amounts of homework, I've never really had much time to type a decent-sized entry. So here's what's new:

Saturday: This'n's the biggy (biggie?). My mom went up to Redding (wherever that is) with a few friends to go shopping. She was gone pretty much the whole day. That afternoon, around 2:00-ish, the power in our entire area blew, right in the middle of a colossus fight in Shadow of the Colossus. And when my brother was typing his English essay. That didn't go well. Either someone hit the transformer, or a(nother) squirrel got zapped by it and in turn zapped the transformer itself. Wouldn't be the first time.

I had no idea how long the power was out (at least a few hours), due to the second event that happened about ten minutes after the power blew. My neighbor's dad (who, coincidentally, is also my neighbor; imagine that! [/sarcasm]) was in his back yard helping paint his house. His wife was supervising, and his kid (that I go to school with) was painting the side. Well, he was up on a ladder, about 18-20 feet off the ground, painting the second story. I dunno the details, but something on the ladder gave way and he fell 18-20 feet down onto the concrete patio. Not cool. We called an ambulance (which made the entire neighborhood come out), and the doctors rushed him to the hospital. Thankfully, the only thing that broke was his finger. Amazing. Simply amazing. Granted, he's pretty black and blue from head to toe, and won't be moving around any time soon, but the odds certainly weren't against us.

Sunday: Didn't go to church since my mom and brother went up to some open house college thing. I had no ride. :P They were gone most of the day, which is when my grandparents and I drove up to see "The Nightmare Before Christmas" in 3-D. We were gonna go on Saturday, but we would've had to drive through Philadelphia and didn't want to get caught in the hockey game traffic. That night my mom FINALLY got to see Saw II.

Monday: Blagh. It was a Monday.

Tuesday: Cripes, it's cold! I dun like cold. I'm moving south first chance I get. I turned in my anorexia poster (which I cleverly used Jack Skellington in to coincide with both Halloween and the 3-D film's release; because Jack's like half an inch wide). It was otherwise a pretty normal day.

So, who else is excited for Saw III?
