Who are the Ice Pirates? Anyway, Mudbugs and the Bucks got into a massive fight with 2 minutes left in the game. Even the goalie got involved . It was great, this was what makes hockey so great. Mudbugs won 5-2. Greatest home game I've seen in a long time. You should have been there.

The Lake Charles Ice Pirates were a hockey team in the same league as the Mudbugs and the Austin Ice Bats, and there was a team from El Paso...

Anyway, they weren't bad, they just didn't have much support in Lake Charles because no one took the time to understand hockey. And thus, disinterest became rampant, and within 3 years, the team had folded into the league.

I have a couple of longsleeve shirts I still wear with their über-snazzy logo.

Nice. But disinterest in Mudbugs? Bah . That won't happen for a loong time. Have you been to a Mudbugs game? Crowded before a hour of the game. So many people wanting to get the suites at the top of the first level of the stadium, getting row A in any section, getting behind the teams, or behind the penalty boxes to annoy the other team.

I've never lived in Shreveport, cher.

I saw the Mudbugs play the Ice Pirates once. Shreveport won that game. The Ice Pirates, despite their good record, lost every game I attended.
