If the set designers picked the winners based on how well they could use the MOC for whatever secret purpose they have in mind, I completely understand the results. If they were judging based on MOC quality, then there's no excuse for these results.

Have to agree with you. Lego may have had some pretty bad choices, but if their voting was based on what would best fit their purpose, I suppose everyone will have to get over that.

Also, Tufi said something about another fancy contest like this. Why cant we just have a normal, simple one with an easy theme for a break (Ex: build a plant, vehicle, skrall etc.)?

I don't think any BBC contest is an "easy win."

I didnt mean it that way. I meant like it would be easier than the robot contest and the like, thus making a potential win easier.

It's probably easier to win a BBC with normal voting because everyone goes for the popular member's MOCs, and as Cags has said, popular members are usually better MOCers than others.
