The shows are nothing like the movie, to be honest. You'll probably be disappointed.

Oh, I'm sure they're different, but I really adore the characters and I think it'd be neat to see where they began.

Well as a avid trekkie since a little kid I was really impressed with the movie, though it was a tad different, but it was in a alternate world thing...so yeah.

But it was awesome! It totally makes me wanna have a ST marathon myself. Spock. <3

Eh, liked the movie but it was much more Abrams than the shows and older movies, if you know what I mean ;P

The whole black hole thing was somewhat of a disappointment though :\ I mean I know it's just a movie and all but they could have at least explained how *spoiler alert* black holes just happened to transport them-- in one piece-- not just once, but twice-- to the perfect place in time :\
