It's not a wise idea to trust Wikipedia. It's better to trust Wiki related sites that focus more on one subject like Wookiepedia (Star Wars) or BS01 (BIONICLE). I mean some stuff on Wikipedia is trustworthy but not all of it.

EDIT- Better yet, it'd be better to use books.

well, yeah, I use more than one source, but usually you can tell if something is crazy. And maybe it's not my first place I go. But if it's not for school, it can be fun.

Wikipedia is awesome, yes. I've used it many times, although I check to see if the information is true or not on other websites.

The reason it can't be tursted 100% is anyone can edit it. Therefore the information must be taken with a grain of salt.

Wikipedia's generally trustworthy when it comes to hard facts. History, math, biology...that kind of stuff.

Where it gets shady is in the entertainment stuff, where glory-hungry users want to be the first to add some new "fact" that's really nothing more than a rumor. (Quick Fact: For about and hour, I had managed to list Chuck Norris as having appeared in Kingdom Hearts 2)

It's the same problem with IMDB, where you can't trust anything until the movie actually comes out.
