D. Master Freez Posted June 25, 2009 I want one too, Mata-Nui comes well with it. Quote Link to comment
Franz Joseph Haydn Posted June 25, 2009 I want the gold 08 Ignika, but I do not want to pay 30 Bucks USD for it. Quote Link to comment
V-N Posted June 25, 2009 It's all part of LEGO's plan. Make a bad set, and force us to buy it by putting a gold Ignika in there. EDIT: Well, after seeing the review, he is actually pretty good... But you get my point. Quote Link to comment
Catra Posted June 25, 2009 Gold Ignika? Also I'd buy the set for scrap parts for MOCing. Quote Link to comment
Chols Posted June 26, 2009 Nuts, he still has that weird color scheme. :\ Parts are great, though. Also, "Toa Mata Nui"? Glatorian must be really, really small. Quote Link to comment
Freddy Mallins Posted June 26, 2009 With as much Voya gold that's been released thus far, I'm sure his color scheme's fixable with a quick hack-job revamp. Quote Link to comment
Aanchir Posted June 26, 2009 The gold is in my opinion the set's biggest flaw. I'd have much preferred a Keetorange Ignika anyhow-- it's brighter, more consistent with the smaller set, and much more photogenic. There are only two reasons I can imagine they made it gold: preferring not to release Inika thigh armor in a new color, and of course fanservice (one of those "be careful what you wish for" things, IMO). I find it disappointing that people seem to see the gold Ignika as a major redeeming feature of the set. If a single part that pretty much ruins the look of the overall set makes the set more worth getting, you know something's up. And Cholie, surely you understand the deal. "Toa Mata Nui" is the title Mata Nui goes by on Bara Magna (see: Desert of Danger), and this set gets that title only to distinguish it from the canister set, which is just called Mata Nui. Of course, you're prolly just being sarcastic, but it never hurts to make sure... Quote Link to comment

If they released a special edition Tahu with a gold Hau, heckyeah I'd buy it. Same goes for any other one of the Mata. Quote Link to comment
