Stop covering Michael Jackson's death.

I was saddened too, I agree he made some good music, an he was a legendary American Icon of the second half of the 20th century. But come on, it's nearly been a week, isn't enough enough? Just give us the autopsy report and be done with it, there are things I find much more interesting going on in the world, like the Iranian riots. Cover that, not the private lives of a grieving family of an American icon that you have no right to pry in who you aren't prying in the affairs of for any reason other than ratings.

Yeah but he died! And he had cardiac arrest! And he died! and he was a musician, and he died!

[/What a media/news person would say.]

Congress passing a Bill or something was the only non michael news I heard this week. And even then, it was for only three seconds.

My god, you should be thankful you weren't over here in England when Jade Goody died. She got coverage for almost a whole month. At least Michael Jackson did something worthy of being remembered.

(And yes, this post is rather harsh on someone who endured cancer for eight months, but seriously, tens of thousands of women around the world are going through what she went through, yet the media talked about her like she was the only one, or at least the only one who deserved coverage. Blech.)

Wait.

So she was famous for being famous?

That's what it boils down to holden, yes. She wasn't a singer, she wasn't a dancer, she wasn't a musician, she wasn't an entrepreneur. She merely appeared on a TV show and then appeared on it again

But with extra bonus racist bullying on the second time!

I agree with the above, and with this blog post. The media cross a line when they start publishing a photo of Jackson dying on their magazine covers just to sell. They should leave it now.
