Is it just me, or is the very idea of getting useful critique in the BBC forum a relic from a bygone age?

Really.

There was a point when I knew I was exaggerating the whole "KUTGW 111/10" schtick, but now...

Oh sure, those aren't the exact words, but when you see practically nothing but praise in every thread on the front page(and I'm viewing at 40 threads per)....

Son, I am disappoint.

How I wish the fine people on [forum] were knowledgeable enough about Lego to critique stuff.

Oh.

Wait.

It's not about the Lego, it's about the aesthetics.

Man MY FEET REEK I need to see about that...

Imagining SnaF or ross let loose in a forum like this...

(since I doubt you know either of them, it'd be like a velociraptor pack in a schoolyard but less... wasteful)

Glorious.

Yeah, more CC and tips on making it better would be nice.

Which is why I'm half debating even posting there anymore. I can just post it in my blog and get my fans' views and CC and be happy.

Now that you mention this, I have to say it's pretty much true. I post MOCs in the BBC forum because I kinda just feel obligated. Get 'em out there for people to see, even the kiddies (or KFOLs, if you want to put it that way). If it were mainly for the constructive criticism, I would have given up on it long ago.

Flickr is so much more convenient a venue for both presentation and critique.
