okay, enough sappy stuff. time for good news.

Homecoming was last night. As the sophmore class princess, I, of course, had to attend. I stood in the cold for half an hour with out a jacket. finally my car arrived, and i dove into the nice, warm backseat, semi-ruined by the fact that the car was a convertible. Then all the princesses got together for a group picture. we then realized we had all dressed in the school colors (red and black) with out meaning to.

Half-time came. we all piled into our cars and drove out onto the track. We were met midfeild by our escorts, who escorted us out onto the field for the coronation ceremony. the princess who was crowned queen I happened to know. (not directly, but lightly.) then we were escorted back to our cars and we drove the rest of the way around the track. Then we all got into one of the cars (a large pickup) for still more group pictures. by that time, all of our cheeks were hurting and we were being blinded by the flashes from the cameras. (we all agreed on that part, by the way.)

and it was fun. A classmate volunteered to do my hair, and curled it into so many ringlets I looked like a teenage Shirley Temple. I also ended up wearing more makeup than I have in my entire life. I looked great. just didn't look like me. (my brother's classmates said so.)

And I still have the homecoming dance tonight. so i get to stay up late. I can't decide whether to wear a long red dress, or a short blue one. I can't wait.

oh, and Shadow had kittens again. They're so cute!
