Yeah my 21st is on a Tuesday so I don't think I'll be going out.

And then there's me not really caring.

I figure, however, that it might be inevitable given a few close friends having birthdays before me.

Well, statistically speaking, they're choosing their sample. Then want to know what happens when kids get drunk at 21. A bad sample selection would be a kid who doesn't plan on getting drunk.
