Chapter 3: A Friend, Indeed

“Follow me” said General Boron

I followed and I followed, and I gave the three scientists a look as if thanking them, and they returned as if saying “Your welcome”. He first took me to a room filled with weapons. He showed me a suit it was black with maroon gloves, boots and had a stripe around the neck. It also had the symbol I saw on the general’s mask on the back.

“this is your suit” the general said.

“what for?”

“ this suit will protect you from hazardous environments and will be able to hold weapons, ammo, and other things in built in pouches, it will also reduce any damage given, but as long as you have armor you’ll be fine and It”

I put the armor on.

“A perfect fit” I said.

“yes know here’s the helmet”

He gave me a black helmet that had strange sparks of electricity flowing through it.

“what’s with the electricity”

“oh, it is designed to warn you about any damage that has done to you”

I put the helmet on, and then I heard a voice.

“WELCOME TO THE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENT BODY INJURY SCANNER, NOW SCANNING FOR ANY INJURIES:

BONE FRACTURE: NONE

BLEEDING: NONE

SICKNESS: NONE

LIMB LOSS: NONE ALL SYSTEMS GOOD TO GO”

“this thing really takes its job seriously.” I said

“yeah, we programmed it that way.”

“by the way where’s my weapon.”

“well right now all we have is a pistol.”

“Ill take it.”

So he handed me the gun and I stored it in the pouch.

“well if this is everything I might as well…”

“Wait!!, I have someone I want you to meet.”

“who?”

“A friend.”

“A friend?”

“A friend, indeed” I didn’t know who said that until a girl walked up to me. She had a mask that had rectangle like shapes coming out from the sides, she was wearing pink, purple, and blue. She also had cat like tail, paws, and ears

“uhhh… General who is this”

Before he could answer the girl answered the question herself.

“Name’s Visarra, professional map reader extraordinaire”

“Yes, this is visarra” General Boron said “she’ll be accompanying you on your adventure”

“well I do need a person that’s good with maps”

“And you found the best” Visarra said “know ones better than me”

“Well….”

“Please take me with you I want to escape this dump”

I couldn’t resist the face she was giving me, but I said what I had to say.

“Fine you can go”

“Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Trust me you wont be disappointed”

So off I went with a pistol in my hand, and a friend by my side,armed with a shot gun. At least I’ll have some company with me.

“So what are we going to do first buddy”

“I don’t know you’re the one with the map”

“Well you’re the leader you should know where were going!!”

“How am I supposed to know where to go, I cant read maps!!”

“well am I the one who was stored in a tube for who knows how long just to save the world, no you are!!!”

This is gonna be a long adventure.
