Chapter 7: Fears, Vanished?

They inched closer and closer. Visarra and Garion still know where to be found. They kept coming and it seemed like the more I shot the more came. Until there were, so much I knew I could not take them. I stopped shooting. I stood there trying to escape, but I was surrounded. I did not know what to do, and then a tear fell from my eye.

*static*

A painful sensation ran through my head. Images ran through my mind. That is when I remembered something of my past. My greatest fear. My fear is having people that I love or care for turn against me. I was scared. I was scared for the first time since many years. I fell down, and lied there waiting for them to kill me. Then all of a sudden, they stopped. Every single one faded away and I was left standing there. Without thinking I kept running and found an opening. I went in, and I was outside.

“Fresh air at last”

I looked around and still no one around.

“I hope Visarra and Garion get out soon”

I swam, and swam, and swam. I swam as if there was no tomorrow. My arms were tired, but I had to keep moving. I couldn’t let this…thing catch up to me.

I couldn’t outrun it. It always caught up to me. I was swimming but then I found an island I thought I could finally rest. I walked up to the island and started to run.

I thought I was safe but the monster got up and started chasing me again. I started running.

Will this madness ever end.

I ran for a few minutes. I looked behind me and I didn’t see anything.

“I outran him”

I looked around and I figured out I was lost on this island. I was alone in the dark. I was shaking. I said to myself.

“Ok...Visarra…it’s ok…nothing’s going to….happen.”

I wish I was right. But as soon as I said that, four of those creatures that were chasing me came walking towards me. I was surrounded I couldn’t do anything. I was shaking like mad now. I felt like my heart was about to pop out of my chest. I started to sob. That’s when the strangest thing happened, the monsters just disappeared. I looked around and saw an opening ran to it and there I saw Drakis. I ran up to him and hugged him.

“Drakis I’m so glad to see you”

“same to you “

“where’s Garion”

“I thought he was with you”

We both looked at the cave.

I hope he’s ok.

I couldn’t do anything. it was impossible. They just kept catching up to me. I kept saying to myself.

“its all my fault, why wasn’t I here to protect them”

I kept running. Until finally they cornered me. I tried taking out my machine gun. It melted in my hand. I took out my pistol. It melted in my hand too. That’s when it was about time I gave up. I backed away from them. I couldn’t do anything, but I wasn’t scared. How can someone like me be scared. That’s when I figured out. Even the greatest of all heroes are scared sometimes. I was scared. I actually admit I’m scared. I looked behind me and saw all the guards had disappeared. I saw a door. It seemed like it was dragging me towards it. I went in and I saw Drakis and Visarra.

“Hey Drakis how’s it goi…”

Before I could finish, Visarra ran up to me and hugged me. She then said.

“I’m so glad to see you”

She started crying on me.

“good to see you too” I said sarcastically “now I just have one favor to ask you”

“what is it?”

“Get off ME!!”

“Aw…come on Garion cant you be nice to Visarra for one second”

“why should I”

*sigh* anyway where next

“huh, oh yeah let’s see…um..aha”

She took out a map and when she saw it she looked overjoyed.

“Ok we should be heading north from here”

“ok then towards north”

“right”

Me and Garion were going towards the area in her map. But she was going the other way.

“Visarra where are you going”

“what, oh yeah sorry”

“what’s been going on”

“long story”

And off we went.

I wonder how Visarra and Garion were in that cave.
