How I Handle Borrowed Cutlery
First, I takeith the knife, fork, or spoon.
Then, I turnith on the hot water in the sink.
Then I grabith the soapy sponge thingy
Then I washith the borrow cutlery.
"But Xccj," you exclaim. "Why have you "borrowed" somebody's kitchen utensils without asking for their permission?"
Well, namely, because somebody "borrowed" mine and failed to clean and / or return it. I don't mind if people are in need of a knife, use mine, wash it, and then leave it out to dry afterwards. As long as they don't ruin it, I'm okay with that. if they ask me first, no problemo. But I've found a couple of my things missing... or better yet, found them in odd corners of the house, still dirty.
If people just did what I explained above after they "borrow without permission," things would be going just fine right now. But that's what I get for sharing a kitchen with 30+ people. (It turns out it's better than sharing it with only 5 other guys... at least the girls sometimes clean up behind them, speaking not of somebody doing the dishes. I can't wait until our dishwasher gets fixed...)
