I Am Over Worked...

Worked 6 days last week, 6 days this week, including 4 10 hour days, then I have to work 10 hours on both Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am a bit discouraged about that.

On the flip side, I will be making 30 dollars an hour on the holidays. Is being a slave to society really worth it people? For that all mighty dollar bill?

Personally, depending on what plans I'd have on Christmas and Thanksgiving, I'd do it for thirty dollars an hour. Not like those days would be very active anyway (I guess, matters on the job).

Of course, there are things more than money--sometimes spending time with family and all that means so much more.

Well, is it really so much the day that matters as what you do on that day? My mom has to work on either Christmas or New Years, and nobody ever wants to work on Christmas, so she just works on Christmas and we celebrate Christmas on December 26. Because, really, the date doesn't matter. It's what you do on that day that makes it special. :)

And for thirty dollars an hour YOU BET IT'S WORTH IT.

Meethinks that money, especially at rates like that, would be worth it. Assuming you still get family time before or after. If you want family/friend time.

Plus, I think they'll understand. Or maybe you can have a Christmas dinner with them on Christmas Eve or something?
