What To Call This Power?

I've probably brought this up before, but I'll bring it up again.

Okay, so one of my stories introduced powered talisman partway through, based on powers seen in Bionicle, as well as that old Jackie Chan Adventures cartoon. Some of the powers are classics, like speed and strength. Some are a little more unique (or Bioniclisque) like ghosting or visions. But there's this one power that I can't quite name properly.

I originally called it gravity. The main idea was it would let you lift things up or push them down; altering their gravity. However, when using it in the story, I started pushing things sideways... something that's not necessarily a gravitational movement. In many ways, I'd prefer the term of telekinesis for the powers, except for one thing; the powers are supposed to work on the user too, and everybody knows that the 1st Law of Telekinetic states that one cannot use his or her telekinetic powers on themselves. :P If you want that kind of movement, you'd have to use a power like levitation. But with the power of levitation (at least in Bionicle) you can only move yourself, thus losing the capability to move other things up or down or sideways. But... in the Jackie Chan cartoon, the levitation talisman seemed to grant telekinetic-like powers to the user anyway...

So when I rewrite this portion of the story, what name should I use for the talisman's power, gravity or levitation? (Telekinesis, for reasons stated above, is already out) Or should I stick more limitations on the power and be forced to change future scenes with it. (Like, in one, he combines it with the speed talisman for quick-flight)

Opinions?

Telekinesis is fine. There are multiple instances of it being used on the person who controls it.

IE: Cable from the X-men comics, in the beginning he was a powerful telekinetic (I dunno, he might be again. Comics go weird) and he used that to basically fly. A lot.

You kidding? People use telekinesis to levitate themselves all the time.

As a compromise, how about you just call the power 'kinesis'. Just plain ordinary movement.

Oh and PS, I did like that JC cartoon. Some of the one-off episodes were a bit rubbish, but they were alright when they were going with an over-arching storyline

First, I declare the 1st law of telekinetics void and untrue.

Second, I would suggest naming the power... well... uh... I'll just support bunda's idea.

Agreed. Simple, to the point, and sounds cool while doing it.

Hmm, very interesting. Using telekinesis on yourself does sound a bit... strange. But "movement" sounds too bland and "levitation" seems more like a self-imposed condition.

So I'd say to go with either kinesis or telekinesis.
