Nah, I'd have to say Mango Street was much worse than Twilight. At least Twilight had... a story? >_>

Like, I respect Mango Street as a children's book. Just like I respect Twilight as a teenage girl's cult novel or whatever you'd call it. But I really dislike how Mango Street is being portrayed as literary genius or something lately (as is Twilight, as a matter of fact. Then again, more people hate it with a bitter passion than like it so I have a bit of sympathy =P).

But if I had to pick the most overrated novel ever it would be The Lovely Bones. Annoying, puerile, and blatantly sexist towards both genders. No thanks.

I got so bored in the first chapter I put it down and forgot about it then got the sparknotes.
