Hey, glad you like it! I had fun building it.

I actually used up all of my teal parts to make it. The teacup design will be making another appearance in an unrelated scene sometime in the near future...

Yeah, and for once I did it without cheating, too. The secret ingredient is a 1x1 Technic brick.

I see now. Is that teal I see also?

I am officially freaked out by the scale of the Av-toran pieces.

WHAT

The 1x1 Technic brick goes where the eyepiece would normally go. The stud on the brick fits perfectly into the slot between the Mata eyes, with enough clutch power to be a bona-fide LEGO connection. After that, it was just a matter of adding fiddly bits via a T-bar inserted into the hollow stud.
