Friend's Birthday Dilema

My friend's birthday is on Friday and so a bunch of us are planning on going to the movies that night to "celebrate." The plan is to see Avatar in 3D.

However, I've seen Avatar (in 3D), and while I feel a want to see it again, I don't want to see it that badly, and, of course, I try not to pay.

Also, if all goes right, I'll have plans on Saturday night that would require some money spending too (including a movie). ;-)

BUT, would I be a bad friend to not hang out with my other friends, especially the one who's birthday it is, just because I don't want to pay $13 for a movie I've already seen? (And it's not like I was expecting this expense.) (And for the record, I already got her a present.)

I'm in the same situation as you, well, the poor college student part. But to put it simply, friends are more important than money. Just go see the movie with them, hang out, and have a good time.
