Not only that, but there was an odd error messages at the top of the screen, and text on my inbox and on profiles was suddenly large.

I've heard about the -1 glitch new messages glitch before, but don't remember what caused it. I've seen the screenshot as well, there was some coding at the top that looked like a minor server error, which I've occasionally gotten. They're like a step below server busy message.

I've also seen mods accidentally close topics before; I can sort of see how it's possible if BZP uses a similar Moderator control panel to the one on my forum.

...yes, it's known to happen, but happening more often at the same time as the rest of this weird stuff? Maybe it's not a coincidence.
