The Tale of Elzar

Introduction

Once upon a time, a long time ago there was a mystical island called Belmaria. The island’s people divided it into six territories, one territory for each of the five races that inhabited the island and one for the dark land in which an evil wizard and his army of darkness lived. The five races were as follows,

The Sarians, a noble people who mostly kept to themselves and dwelled in the mountains of the far west. Their features were quite similar to a human’s.

The Larians, a more tribal race who resembled blue like goblins, but spoke fluently in Zeldan, Sarian, and Folan languages, let alone their own. They were quite skilled in magic abilities as well as being a very religious people.

The Zeldans, an ogre-like race who, despite their frightening appearance, were one of the kindest people on the whole island of Belmaria. They mostly used clubs and were the strongest of all the races.

The Folanians, were considered the highest of all the species on Belmaria, thus the reason they dwelled in the territory of the fairies, only allowing rare exceptions from other races to ever have a fairy of their own. They were a very imperial race, using mostly what you’d find a knight using in combat.

The Light Elves, a race that mostly lived among the trees and rich forests around the Neldin River. Thus naming their territory, Neldin. They excelled in the art of long range weaponry such as bows and arrows but also were a formidable foe with a sword as well.

But one day, the Light Elves in the north of Neldin were suddenly greedy and evil. There was a dark look to their eyes and they decided to rule over the southern Light Elves and kill whoever got in their way. The Light Elves of the south then separated from Neldin in an attempt to form their own territory in which the Neldin Light Elves could not rule them. They founded Elzar and fought the Neldins until years later, the Folanians ruled that the Elzarians were legally a new territory. From that day on, the Neldins and Elzarians have been separated, splitting the territory’s water supply in half and causing all bridges across the Median Lake to be torn down.

So at this point, there were now seven territories on the island of Belmaria, and they were as follows,

The Sari Mountains, home to the Sarians.

The Larian Territory, home to the Larians.

The Zeldan Territory, home to the Zeldans.

Folan Valley, home to the Folanians.

Neldin, home to the Neldins.

Elzar, home to the Elzarians.

Sarfin’s Tail, home to the evil wizard and his wicked army.

Thus begins my tale of Elzar.
