My professor and the botany professor used a chemical on a sample of salvinia this past Monday, and as it turns out, it's showing some results - good results.

The salvinia samples are dying, and the water does not seem to be affected by it. Further tests will be needed to show the effects on algae to small fish on what exactly the chemical will do when it is exposed to the elements.

This is our first shot at a solution. It'd be nice if we got this because that would mean some money for LSUS, which is in dire need of funding..
