Food For Thought
According to Susan Vaught, author of Trigger, Edward Cullen meets six out of seven criteria for Antisocial Personality Disorder, which is basically a nice way to call a person a sociopath. (Additionally, meeting three is the minimum to diagnose someone.)
How? I have the seven here; the ones he qualifies for as according to Madame Vaught are bolded for your convenience.
- Failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest
- Deceitfulness, as indicated by repeated lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure
- Impulsivity or failure to plan ahead
- Irritability and aggressiveness
- Reckless disregard for safety of self or others
- Consistent irresponsibility
- Lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another
I’m gone for now; if I’m not back by tonight, its’ because overzealous fangirls managed to harness Balefire somehow and blasted me for blasphemy.
