Wiinternet Access

I was going to write this on a Wii, but after trying to send a PM that didn't even go through, I decided not to. Just using the Wii to surf the Internet is going to be a pain unless the USB keyboard is somehow integrated. First off, it's hard to type when I have to move my "mouse" to each individual letter; yes, I know some suggested words come up, but if what I'm typing is short or not even listed, those suggestions are pointless. Second, I don't want to waste batteries while trying to get to each letter either. (Way to make something mundane even worse!)

I know it's a Beta version, but if it's a hint of things to come, surfing the Wiib is just not going to be that much fun. Well, I guess we'll find out how things go when the final version is released in March. Right now, all it's good for is doing simple tasks... BZP-related things is just not one of them for me.

For now, I'm sticking to my computer for most things; although, I do have some ideas for the Wii and its browser.

Actually, I found it works kinda good. There is still room for improvement such as an actual keyboard. They need to make it so you can select text and delete it instead of deleting it one letter at a time.

I already posted my first Wii blog entry, and you have to try the bubble wrap with the Wiib browser. It is fun.

I'll be on BZPower with my Wii a lot, only because we have one computer, it shouldn't be that difficult to watch the blogs from it.

If all I had to do was make sure a wireless router was powered-up to browse the Internet on the Wii, that would be one thing. But I'm using a USB WiFi adaptor (not the Nintendo brand), which means my computer has to be on anyway.

Like I said, a USB keyboard would be helpful in improving my opinion. I didn't spend all that time learning to type with the QWERTY system for nothing. ^_^
