I, being stupid, decided to wear sandals to Freshtones (a singing and dancing group that meets as a Zero Period). Apparently, at some point I must have stubbed my toe on something because my sock had turned red by first block and I didn't even realize it. My first period teacher sent me to the nurse to get band-aids. I was too lazy to take off my sock so I put the band-aids on the sock instead of my toe. It continued to bleed until Writing Club after school. When I got home and cleaned it up, I found I'd cracked by toe nail in half.

And throughout this entire thing, I didn't feel any pain at all. I still am not sure how I even got the injury to begin with.

Oh my god, that exact same thing happened to me last summer, except my toenail went more the bending-forward-and-splitting-my-toe-open route. If your case is similar to mine, be ready to look at your toe differently for a while, cause my toenail's still cracked and deformed after almost a year. :P (dried blood finally came off about two months after it)
