My mom has a droid, it sucks and if the Iphone was on anything other then AT&T I would get on in a heart beat.

It has an aesthetic design not even an industrial engineer could love, the battery door on the back falls off all the time, the dinky little DSi has a better internet browser, no high res on the video site owned by Google and this is running a Google made OS so it should work better, almost every app on it fails; we had to pick up my dad late in a part of town we don't usually go to and told a five star 10,000 times downloaded app to find a pizza place and it took as half way across town to a gas station with no pizza place insight, the keyboard and cursor control doesn't even come up to the standards set by the Blackberry my dad had 10 years ago, it has severe design flaws (IE the optional case literally skins the glued on keys right off the key board)...

I could go on but it would take up half a page.

Not to mention the Droid has a far inferior accelerometer that locks up sometimes and other times will flip the screen for no reason.

TBH I was kinda joking around when I posted the entry, but I stand by my phone.

It sounds like you just have bad luck

My droid has never crashed in any app, nor has its accelerometer messed up.

Also, what are you talking about; the res is 8??x480, the video site is 480p default, and it works a ton better than the iphone/touch version.

Why would you get a case, it defeats the point of the excellent industrial design, speaking of which, is da best. (you're entitled to your opinion, of course, not arguing here)

and yeah the keyboard isn't perfect, but you get used to it rather quickly, and if it was more raised, the phone would be way too thick.

The web browser is fine, its fast and does what it needs to.

Hahahaha.

No. It doesn't even make sense from a technical standpoint. The DSi is a lower resolution, has an inferior processor, and has a poorer input method (read: no physical keyboard or even a software keyboard you can use your hands with).

Also, why would you just use some random app to get directions. The Droid has a built in navigator that uses Google Maps.

While I disagree that the iPhone sucks, I agree with most of your points. Except for the keyboard/screen. I'm fine with my Touch's screen, and if it weren't for AT&T I would definitely have an iPhone. Having a phone and having an iPod annoys me very much.

I have not used a Droid yet though, so I dunno about it. looks pretty cool though.
