Nostalgic Score
So, the place I applied for work at it didn't have an opening. But they keep all applications on-file for six months, so there's still hope. However the manager and I are still friends, so I still like to stop in now and then. It also helps though that it's a Gamestop, and nowadays you can get great old GBA titles for less than $10 because they're old and Nintendo neglects them despite their being awesome. Occasionally a new arrival comes in for about $8 or $9 that I've been hunting for a while, however today I got a surprise in the form of four games I remember seeing years ago, wanting, not being able to afford, and hating the fact that the were no longer made when I was old enough to afford them.
Two received very positive reviews, one received a fairly positive review and finally silences the kid inside me that kept yanking at me for not buying it, one is the original Metroid in a GBA format, and one is something a friend has been on my back to buy for years. As always though, the prices surprised me;
But hey, nostalgia, fun, and for cheap, so I'm not complaining.
On a slightly related note, my Tetris high-score is 101,318. Anyone reading this do better or is that actually fairly low and I'm just happy about it because I haven't seen many other tetris players' high-scores?
