Turakii Missed A Day...or More... >.<
LarryBoy: Hey kids! It's LarryBoy again. Turakii seems to keep forgetting about this blog, so I'm going to take over and do it for him until---
Oh, this thing exists? Move over, LarryBoy. My blog.
So, what is there to blog about?
I'm really glad Biomech won in the "other" category of the art contest. I was really hoping he would. The entry was both funny and well-made (although mowing the lawn isn't my favorite pastime). That was really close. He won by one vote!!! He told me he was sweating like mad in the last few minutes.
---*Abruptly changes subject to art*----
I made a LarryBoy avatar in Paint Shop Pro. Really easy. Just make a cucumber-ish shape with the paintbrush, add some details, color it in, and voila! I have a smaller version, too, that I'm going to use as my own personal emoticon. And I made one with Bob and Larry as superheroes, but I'm not going to bring that one out until after July twenty-ninth, which is both my sister's birthday and the day LarryBoy and the Bad Apple comes out. (Those of you who don't like/watch Veggietales are invited to skim over the rest of this Veggie-filled entry, if you so desire.)
The banner was done by hand and edited in Paint Shop Pro. It took about twenty minutes to sketch, five minutes to go over with a fine marker, and half an hour to color and shade. Hooray for colored pencils, not hooray for broken pencil sharpeners.
I use Prang pencils, which are okay most of the time. Except when a color seems to be orange and turns out to be pink. Or when the pencils just refuse to sharpen. Or how light they draw, even if you press really hard. Once I use them all up, I might buy some Crayola pencils. I think they've got some nice, vibrant colors. Does anyone know if they really are? And, if not, if there is a really good type, that blends well and isn't too light?
Back on the subject of the banner. The little LarryBoy who peeks out from behind my banner every few minutes is done on the computer, too. Very simple. (My mom thinks he's adorable.) I just drew him all the way out and slid him back a pixel for each frame. Right after I got the animation up, my dad pointed out I forgot LarryBoy's plunger ear. :annoyed2: So I had to add it into every single frame. Oh, well, at least he looks like himself now.
I'm really grateful to Onuki for assuring me that you can have two images in your signature at once, so long as they don't exceed the 100x250 limit (or the other limit) or 100 KB. Thanks, Onuki!
I saw a member who recently changed his name from kongu10 to ~Larry Da' Cucumber~. Cool username, no? And he's got LarryBoy eating some yummy chocolate in his avatar.
LarryBoy: Remember, kids, with chocolate comes great responsibilty! *Takes big bite of chocolate bar.* Goo theeg I'b bewy weesponsible, huh?
Um...right.
Well, I'm off to watch Sheerluck Holmes and the Golden Ruler for the hundredth time. So long for now! (What, are F.I.S.H. and C.H.I.P.S. on the screen already!? And I missed the part with the anvil!?)
LarryBoy: *Swallows.* Bye!
Turakii: The Lavasurfer Who Don't Do Anything. (By the way, does anyone think that would make a cool username?)
