Very recently I acquired quite a nice selection of LEGO:

*First, I was able to use TRU's Buy1, Get1 half off sale and get, as you might have read, the SP3 Raid VPR. (As well as another set which can not be revealed at this point.)

*I also bought a slew of pieces which you saw used in my Doctor Who LEGO figs and such.

*Then, right before the WAMALUG meeting a few weeks ago, I swung by the LEGO Store. There I got the Atlantis Manta Ray figure impulse set as well as white Classic Space minifig keychain. (And used the $5 of my LEGO club card.)

But wait it gets better.

*From a fellow WAMALUGger I bought the Star Wars Mini Torrent V-19 at regular price (as opposed to a higher price if this were a normal sale months/years in advance).

Here's the kicker:

*I was able to trade a WAMALUGger this torso for the Classic Space jacket torso. Woot! (Except now I realize it's not as rare as I thought it was. But I got it at a great "price" and that's what counts.)

My next set will be the Harry Potter Quidditch set, because I've been waiting for LEGO to make a decent one. (Plus, the brown hair will be perfect for my Captain Jack fig, and Madam Hooch's goggled head looks very steampunkish. After that I'll probably wait to save money for BrickFair.
