So a few CCM friends convinced me to go contra dancing last night. (And admittedly there was that senior girl... (speaking of which, last night's Doctor Who episode: "Ever fancy someone you know you shouldn't?") ...but at the same time I've realized I like the formal dancing (ballroom style) and I really just want to avoid whatever is going on at a modern, school dance.) I stepped out of my introverted bubble, went out of my comfort zone, and actually had a good time.

Contra dancing was described to me as Victorian style, Pride and Prejudice (and Zombies?)-like, folk-style, where there are lines of people (with your partner) and dancing involves sorts of swinging, rotating, switching partners for a moment, moving up or down the line, do-si-doing, etc.

So yeah, friends, going contra dancing...I quite enjoyed it. Much better than whatever else I would have done on a Saturday night. And, while the friend who proposed this probably wants to do it again somewhere, I figure there will not be too many chances, and now I can say I've done it.

Haha, I love it when people start involving Doctor Who quotes and stuff in their real life. It makes me feel more normal about doing it.

But yeah, that line HIT ME as well. But it was still a stupid part of the episode. Emotionless or not, HE'S STILL A BOMB. Anyway.
