Planning The Mosaic Project
You no doubt heard Nukaya and me talk about today in the BZPowercast and are now here, wondering just what is next in store for what sounded like an amazing idea.
Well, I'm glad you have entered my blog. Welcome, and prepare to be amazed.
The BrickFair Mosaic Project, or BMP, consists of BZP members collaborating and being awesome. Together, each member assembles a part of a picture out of LEGO bricks on a 32x32 baseplate, and the finished product will be a big picture.
We already have Kopaka being prepared, with much thanks to xccj for getting it together.
The stage we are in right now is deciding on which picture to make the next mosaic. It will require another 9 members, or at least members' 9 baseplates. The options we have are a close up of Onua, much like Kopaka and mostly black and white, the UDD symbol and the Bionicle logo, which looks quite spiffy, and an image of the Mask of Life, bright gold and in the style of Toa Mata Nui.
If you are willing in helping out, say so here. Please do not just post that you think this is cool, because that does not help.
By committing, you say you will make a square, which could cost around $20+ if you have to order the necessary parts, you will ship it to me (more on that later) by mid-July, and you will pay for return shipping.
Please be sure to visit Nukaya's blog for a second home-blog. We sort of post things staggeringly, so one's blog may have more updated information than the other. Keeps us on our toes.
We're glad you have taken interest to read this!

PS, Grey and light grey color bricks used should be the new, bley color, as that is cheaper and more readily available (as we are anticipating the need to purchase parts).
