Summer Movies!

It's that time of year again. Unless the last local newspaper out of the four I applied to say they'll offer me a paid internship, I'm stuck at my movie theater again. Also, they probably will not give me enough hours, so I might get a second job. More on that later. For now, the movies I am interested in seeing:

(The * denotes the ones I'm looking forward to the most and would pay for if I did not have the job.)

Iron Man 2

Robin Hood (perhaps)

Prince of Persia (perhaps)

Toy Story 3 (Just because it's Pixar. I wasn't amazed at TS2 if I'm not mistaken.) June 18

Knight and Day June 25

Despicable Me July 9

Predators (perhaps) July 9

The Sorcerer's Apprentice July 14

*Inception (OMG Chris Nolan!) July 16

Salt July 23

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World August 13

I wish Splice was more thriller/mystery than gorey/horror.

I am going to do everything in my power not to work the midnight showing of Twilight 3.

I'm going to see How To Train Your Dragon on Thursday. I want to see Shutter Island on Wednesday night but have not found someone to see it with. Maybe I'll see it alone, because you aren't doing anything with the person anyway while just sitting there, and I'll be able to talk with a friend about it later online, and it'll reaffirm my introvertedness (I did the same with Avatar).

I still have no idea what Inception is about, nor have the trailers told me anything about the movie at all, or why I should see it, so I don't really see how they're gonna get an audience for that movie at all >>.

If it was coming out around the time of BrickFair, I would TOTALLY say we go dress as wizards and crash a midnight viewing via wizard's duel.

I can't believe you weren't amazed at TS2, and that you're only seeing TS3 because it's Pixar. What's wrong with you? :P

Eww Will Ferrell...

Looking forward to: Iron Man 2, Robin Hood, Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Harry Potter 7 Pt. 1, and Inception.

Dawn Treader doesn't come out until next year, no? I haven't seen anything for it.

HP7 comes out in November. A few friends and I will hopefully go to a midnight screening.

I personally think the Toy Story movies are some of the best of Pixar. ALthough, I admit, I fastforward through some of the Woody/Jessie scenes in the seconds movies, but the rest is pretty great. And from what I saw of the third one, it'll be just as good / BETTER!

Also, How to Train Your Dragons is a good movie. They say it's from the makers of movies like Shriek, Kung Fu Panda... I'd say it easy tops all of those. Flying scenes are epic.

Not sure how many other movies I'll see this summer. I'm still not quite sure what I'll be doing besides Bfair...

It's just been so long since I've seen TS2...

Haven't seen Shrek 2 or 3, which is probably why I'm not excited for the fourth one, nor did I see Panda, but I saw Monsters Vs Aliens last year and loved it.

Save yourself and don't see them. Shrek started out well but it's gone rapidly downhill.

They're making a new Robin Hood movie?

Let's hope it a good one, for a change! :D

What are you talking about? Mel Brooks' "Men In Tights" is hilarious. :P

THIS.

As for this new one being good...I wouldn't pay to see it, but since I can for free I will. It looks cool, like a good Middle-Ages action movie, but I do not see how this can actually be a Robin Hood story. He looks too old, IMO.

But where is Avatar The Last Airbender? That's the one I'm most excited about this year... of course it's a 50% chance it will suck...

Um...yeah not a fan of the show sorry.

OK ok, I've never seen it, but it's America trying to copy anime. I'll stick to the authentic, Japanese anime, thank you.

Unless it gets great reviews. Then I guess I'll check it out.

Prince of Persia could be awesome, but most likely will suck. The same goes for The Last Airbender; there's just no way the director can fit the epicness of the entire show into two hours.

The show got great reviews and you haven't watched it. :P

Also it's not really much like Japanese stuff except you can kinda see the style is Asian inspired. I dunno, you should give it a try. The first season isn't so good though sooooo... actually the show isn't very good until Azula and her posse/Toph are introduced several episodes into season 2...

But yeah your fine to dislike it, just don't say you're not a fan without even seeing it at all. Not fair to the show. XD
