In this chapter, Nastan begins to suspect that Oggak is up to something and decides to confront her about it when the Toa of Shadow returns.

Meanwhile, Oggak, Jokao, and Hajax are attacked by the Tuikas, forcing the three to create a cave-in to stop the Tuikas from reaching them. During the ensuing chaos, Jokao is badly injured and has to be half-dragged by one of the others in order to walk. With the only known exit blocked, the party of three decides to head back into the cave and find an alternative way out. Hajax secretly begins to worry that obtaining the truth about of the Tuikas from Oggak may be harder than he originally thought, now that the situation has changed so drastically.
