Oblivion Question

Heyo! As I said in the entry below, I'm pretty addicted to Morrowind in off-and-on phases. Love the game to pieces. Therefore, I was wondering from the knowledgeable players if, given my love for Morrowind, would I enjoy Oblivion and therefore should I get it? For PC of course, not that it matters all that much.

Thanks in advance! :)

EDIT/UPDATE: Still debating, but as I understand it, most people that played Morrowind didn't like Oblivion, and most people that liked Oblivion and played that first didn't like Morrowind. Now as I said, I love Morrowind, but then I heard that the Game of the Year edition may be worth it, because Morrowind fans adored the Shivering Isles expansion. Rrgh, tough decisions are tough.

Trust me, I've played both games, and Oblivion is soooo much better. The only thing better about Morrowind is the bloodmoon expansion and the fact that kahjit and argonians can't have full helmets or wear boots. Their feet are cooler and it's much more realistic.

Personally, I like both. If you're a fan of the Elder Scroll series, I understand many liking Morrowind better--but if you're just a person who loves fantasy games that's well done, it's amazing. Get it.

Yeah, the more I think about the more I'm leaning to get it, if just to try it. GOTY edition is only about twenty bucks anyway. Thanks for the opinions! :)

When Oblivion came out, I got it as soon as it came out, of course, since I was (am) an obsessive Morrowind addict. I wondered if I would still be playing it for as long as I had been playing Morrowind. I played it, enjoyed it and had a decent time but in the end, eh.

I'm still playing Morrowind. I am not still playing Oblivion.

Get it, because it is pretty entertaining, and do get it for the PC. Oh, and make sure you got Shivering Isles, since it's crazy awesome and sort of better than the non-expansion part of the game.

Also, Daggerfall's freeware now. If you don't mind stuff that's kinda buggy and really old school, it's pretty excellent. LOTS more stuff than either Morrowind or Oblivion, mostly since it's got a lot of stuff that's literally randomly generated, but it's still got more flavor than Oblivion. :P

I did end up buying Oblivion. Graphics and combat system put Morrowind to shame, but I feel like there's just not as much to do. I've done a number of side quests, but the main quest seemed pretty basic and lacking compared to the much more involved one in Morrowind. I do like the horse riding, though.
